IITR Recruitment – Detailed Eligibility:

Detailed Eligibility:

Technical Officer, Group III:

• B.E./B.Tech. (Civil/ Electrical) or equivalent with 55% marks
• M.Lib. Science with 55% marks after 1st Class B.Sc. (Science).

Technical Assistant, Group III:

Technical Assistant (Biological Sciences):

• First-class B.Sc. (Sci) with biology as a major subject and with one-year full-time professional qualification or one year experience in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/Organization.

Technical Assistant (Chemical Sciences):

• First-class B.Sc. (Sci) with Chemistry as major subject/ (Maths/Statistics) and with one-year full-time professional qualification or one year experience in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/ Organization.

Technical Assistant (Library Sciences): First class B.Sc. (Sci) with B.Lib. Science

Technical Assistant (Civil/ Electrical Engineer):

• First-class Diploma in Electrical / Civil Engineering / Technology of at least 3 years full-time duration or at least 2 years full-time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma courses or it equivalent with experience of two years in the relevant area/field.

Upper Age limit (As on 05.09.2020):

• Technical Officer, Group III: 28 years
• Technical Assistant, Group III: 30 years

Relaxations in upper Age Limit:

• 5 years for SC/ST Candidates
• 3 years for OBC candidates
• 10 years for PWD candidates (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST)
• Others as per Govt rules.

Post wise vacancies: 34 Posts

• Technical Officer, Group III: 3 posts
• Technical Assistant, Group III: 31 posts

Salary Details:

• Technical Officer, Group III: Level -7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400)
• Technical Assistant, Group III: Level -6 (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400)

IITR Recruitment Selection Process for Technical Assistant/ Technical Officer:

• Candidates, as recommended by the Screening Committee, will be invited for Trade/Skill Test.
• Those who qualify in the Trade/Skill Test will be invited for a competitive written examination.

Mode of Examination

• There will be three papers (Paper-I, II, III).
• OMR Based or Computer Based Objective Types Multiple Choice Examination.
• Total no. of Questions – 200
• The question will be set both in English and Hindi except the question on English Language.
• For Technical Assistant – Diploma/Graduation Level
• For Technical Officer – Post Graduate Diploma / Post Graduation/B.E./B.Tech Level
