Educational Qualification:

Scientist-C:

• Masters degree in Science or Masters degree in Agriculture Science from a recognized University with 04 years of experience in Research and Development/Academic Institutes/Science & Technology Organizations in Agriculture

Scientist-B:

• Masters degree in Science or Masters degree in Agriculture Sciences from a recognized University

Scientist-B (CSTRI UNITS):

• B.E/B.Tech in Textile Technology from a recognized University

Assistant (Technical):

• Second class Bachelors Degree in Entomology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Agriculture/ Sericulture/ Chemistry or an equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University

Post wise Vacancies:

• Scientist-C: 03 posts
• Scientist-B: 59 posts
• Scientist-B (CSTRI UNITS): 15 posts
• Assistant (Technical): 02 posts

Age Limit (as on 17.07.2020):

• For Scientist-C – 40 years
• For Scientist-B – 35 years
• For Assistant – 30 Years

Upper age limit is relaxable by:

• For OBC candidates: 03 years
• For SC/St candidates: 05 years

Salary Details:

• Scientist-C: Level -11 (Rs.67,700-2,08,700)
• Scientist-B: Level -10 (Rs.56,100-1,77,500)
• Assistant: Level – 6 (Rs.35,400 -1,12,400)

Central Silk Board Recruitment Selection Process for Scientist/Assistant 

For Scientist-C/ Scientist-B:

• Selection will be based on online/written test and interview
• 75% weightage will be given for online/written test marks and 25% weightage will be given for interview marks

For Assistant (Technical):

• Selection will be made through online/written test
